Haunted Roots...

Imagine growing up just down the street from this ancient building.
I did.
The Knox County Poor House built between 1875 to 1877.
It became the Mount Vernon Bible College in 1957 for 30 years.
Then, in my lifetime, it has been the House of Nightmares.
Now, closed since 2006 because it's age has caught up to it.

The haunted house I want to see this year.

It's impact is breathtaking.

My Halloween dream.

Why was six afraid of seven?

It wasn't. Numbers are not sentiment and thus incapable of feeling fear.

A man walks into a bar. He is an alcoholic and is ruining his family.

What do you call a man with no arms and no legs water skiing?

I don't know, but that sounds like a highly improbable circumstance.

Burning Bridges. . .

You never know who your next boss will be, or even your next car dealer.
I've been burning bridges that ought not go aflame! (Weird phrase... I know)
Recently, I've been car searching for a reliable vehicle with low income. $1500.
A car was offered by a man I'll call Tom, but it was too old and in too bad of shape to be $1500. I told him so. He said "Whatever. Good luck finding a car for less then $1500 that runs good"
Weeks later, Tom's wife, I'll call her Rebecca, said they were selling it for $1000. Evidently they couldn't find a buyer. I said the most I could do was $800. She eventually hesitantly agreed.
Now the bad part. I found a different car that I'm interested in. I am looking at it tomorrow. I want to compare the two before I decide, but I'm afraid that Tom and Rebecca will be tired of my haggling and unsure behavior. I hope I didn't burn that bridge.
We will see soon.

New Blog...

Back when I was in High School, I was required to create a blog in one of my classes. Needless to say, I enjoyed the experience. So, I decided to continue the fun. My old blog, Oh look! An Unknown Website!, became a bore, at least to me, so I decided to start anew! Alas, that is the story of how this blog came to be.
